A renovation is a unique and dynamic procedure in which an existing cell is transformed with respect to its previous use to host the new needs. During the design process the goal is to transform the restrictions into opportunities, during construction to adjust to get the most of those opportunities.
This unique house was built around 1940 and was left unused until the ‘80s. That allowed us to maintain many original features such as the old chimney, the curved stones of the openings while on the same time to integrate all the new amenities such as an energy fireplace, underfloor heating, bathroom areas etc in the original cell.
